CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Black Lives Matter
Open submission for online juried exhibition

THEME: Black Lives Matter. Seeking photographic images that address the struggle and the injustice experienced by the African-American community in our country, the United States of America.

Photographers should create images that capture and detail the current issues identified by the Black Lives Matter movement. All photographs should serve as poetic representations of the issues. Participants should present portfolios that convey feelings, create emotional interest, and express a visual point of view.

The works will be judged and the selected photographers will have their essays exhibited permanently on this site.

As with our Portfolios and Cultural Expressions projects, an individual web page will be created to showcase each photographer's work.

With this body of work, Fotomission hopes to contribute to the awareness of current conditions and help bring about positive social change.. Additionally, this project will provide the participating photographers with the opportunity to advance their photography skills, to present their techniques and sense, and to exhibit in a public forum.

The photographic image has the power to change the world. It has been witness to the humanity and inhumanity of man. Not only can it reflect the world we live in but also inspire and move us to change this world.
