Everglades National Park
Expedition Workshop

Join us on this expedition workshop with an expert photography instructor. Photograph on the Anhinga Trail, Pa-hay-okee Overlook and a beautiful sunset spot. These locations offer the best opportunities to view nature and wildlife, including alligators and a great variety of birds, up close. Limited to 12 participants

Some of the advanced topics that will be covered include:

  • Advanced Exposure
  • Metering Techniques
  • Understanding the Histogram
  • Filters for Nature and Landscape Photography
  • Composition Beyond the Rule of Thirds
  • Post Processing

Recommended Equipment:

  • Camera that allows manual control
    (OK with kit lens)
  • Wide angle or wide angle to medium zoom lens (optional)
  • Telephoto or medium to telephoto zoom lens (optional)
  • Tripod (highly recommended)




Itinerary:

  • 1:00pm. Meet at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, located at 40001 State Road, 11 miles from Homestead, FL.
  • 1:30pm. Anhinga Trail, 0.8 miles. Great opportunities to photograph birds, alligators, fish and other wildlife
  • 4:00pm. Pa-hay-okee Overlook. 0.2 miles. Photograph the vast Everglades wilderness
  • 5:30 to 7:00pm. Our preferred spot to photograph amazing sunsets
